It's no secret that the entire world is in a state of quarantine and lockdown due to the dreaded coronavirus pandemic. People have been forced to either shut shop or work from home until it is safe for them to step out again and we still don't know when that will be. As of now, a few COVID-19 symptoms that we're aware of include runny rose, sore throat, tiredness and difficulty in breathing. However, now experts are claiming that there are more symptoms to the illness and one of them has to do with your skin!

US Dermatologist Sandra Lee aka Dr Pimple Popper recently gave an interview to a popular digital magazine. And in her interview, she said that some people who were diagnosed with the covid-19 virus also described having skin rashes as a symptom. And the worst part is that so many people have tested positive for the virus without showing any prior symptoms. However, many of these people claimed that what got them to get tested in the first place was the development of these rashes.

Although the WHO has not yet classified rashes as a symptom for coronavirus, you can always just keep the symptom in mind and get checked if needed. As of now, two types of rashes are being said to be symptoms of the virus. These are Chilblains and Livedoid. While Chilblains refer to tiny purple and painful bumps people often get on their finger and toes, Livedoid is a net-like pattern that often occurs on the arms, thighs and trunk of the body.

So, if you've noticed that you have a rash like the ones mentioned above or if someone you're in lockdown with is complaining about such rashes, it would be best for you to consult with a doctor and if needed also get yourself tested for the virus. You never know what could turn out to be a symptom.

Apart from staying indoors, the WHO and governments of various countries have issued certain guidelines to follow like washing our hands regularly and not touching our faces so that we can stay safe. And people have been doing their best to follow these hygiene habits. So, stay safe and make sure you don't step out unnecessarily. Stay tuned for more updates.
