With the lockdown still going strong on us due to the dreaded coronavirus pandemic, people are still stuck at home and who knows for how long. While most people have adapted to the new situation, for now, they might have still noticed that they've ended up putting on weight because of being at home all day long. Plenty of people prefer to get their exercise outdoors and this is why they may have not bothered to try and stay in shape while they're inside. And during this lockdown the most easily visible weight gain area is the tummy. So, if you've suddenly noticed that there's a dreaded paunch on your tummy and you want to get rid of it, here are some tips that will help you burn those unwanted calories.

-Opt for some cardio exercises since they're easy and fun to do as compared to a proper workout. And it's also convenient to do cardio exercise while you're at home since they don't require a lot of space to do. Start by doing them for 5 minutes daily and then gradually increase the time limit.

-Planks can work wonders for you. Since they involve the entire body, they can help you burn calories in a jiffy. And the best part is that they focus on making your core stronger which is just what you need for a flat tummy.

-Make sure your diet is proper. Along with some exercise, you're also going to have to consume the right kind of food or else the exercise will hardly make a difference. Cut down on unnecessary junk foods and drinks and opt for fresh fruits, veggies, lean meats and water (to help keep you hydrated). Trust us, a good diet will work wonders for you.

-Try jumping jacks. These are yet another form of a rather simple exercise that involves your entire body. It'll help increase blood circulation throughout your body and get those muscles moving. Start simple with about 10 jumping jacks per day and then move on to a higher number gradually.

-Dance your heart out. Opt for some high-intensity dance routines like Zumba, Salsa or even some peppy Bollywood numbers. Dancing is as good as cardio so if you prefer to dance, it'll still help you burn all those unwanted calories.
