Summer season is almost upon us and while that means that it's the season to hit the beach and let those tresses loose, it's also the season where you'll get dehydrated and fast. Which is why making sure that you stay hydrated needs to be your top priority during the summers. If you're looking for a fun way to stay hydrated, give popsicles a try. The best thing about them is that you can make them yourself with the most nutritious ingredients. So, you end up with a nutritious treat that also doubles up as dessert.

“Kiwis, strawberry, blueberry and apple are packed with vitamins and vegetables such as cucumber are not only hydrating but also a great source of fibre. Popsicles made using them are definitely better than eating regular ice cream,” says a nutritionist. “Popsicles are distinctive in a way that they can be created with any base liquid ingredient from water and juices to vegetable puree and nut milk. One can also opt to use yoghurt too.”

“Popsicles have only grow in popularity since their inception. They could also be nostalgic for people as it most often than not takes you back to your childhood,” says a renowned chef. “Popsicles are a brilliant way to add more vegetables into the diet of your kids,” adds another chef. Well, it does seem like a brilliant idea to add the best nutritious things to the popsicles. Here are a few recipes you can try out for yourself:

Put the half cup of watermelon cubes in the moulds and then pour the rest of the puree in the moulds as well. Leave them in the freezer overnight to chill.
