Bharti Singh is not only known for her excellent comic timing but also her weight, recently won over the internet with her latest TV commercial for a beauty product. . In this commercial, the comedienne takes on all the unrealistic beauty standards set by the society for the women.
Starring in the commercial for 'Joy', the actress confessed that though she has been in the industry for so long,she has never been called beautiful. She said that she has countless times been applauded for her comic talent, but never has anyone complimented her on her beauty.
In a statement to a leading advertising website, Bharti said, "In the past, there were products like ghee, truck, atta etc which was offered to me but endorsing a body lotion has been a welcome change. I am happy that Joy is challenging women beauty stereotypes through this campaign."
