Now that the entire world is stuck in a quarantine-phase, all one can do is sit and wait it out. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't take care of things like your health and skin. In fact, skincare is one of the most important things to pay attention to during this time. Celebrity aesthetician Renée Rouleau who has catered to clientele like Demi Lovato and Lili Reinhart shared her top tips on how one can keep their skin in check despite being indoors. Here's what she had to say.

-Don't touch your face: One of the most important things to remember is to not touch your face especially if you have hand cream on. This can end up clogging your pores and can lead to breakouts, acne, spots and blemishes on your face.

-Continue your skincare routine: Just because you're indoors doesn't mean that you can skip out on your skincare routine. You'll still end up with blackheads or whiteheads despite being inside so make sure to keep up with those facials and at home face care regimes.

-Sunscreen is a must: Apparently, any visible light in the house is enough to damage your skin so it's very important that you wear sunscreen even when you're indoors. Even blue light from electronic screens can damage your skin which makes sunscreen all the more important for you to wear.

-Don't pick your skin: Bacteria often lurks on your hands and fingers since you keep touching multiple objects and spaces. So, when you constantly touch your skin or pick on your skin with your hands, the bacteria can get transferred from your fingers to your face and can lead to a plethora of skin issues such as breakouts, acne, blemishes, inflammation etc.

-Make sure to get enough sleep: Your skin and body cells regenerate when you're sleeping so it's absolutely important that you get at least 7-8 hours of sleep per night. What's more, sleep is what helps you stay fresh and can keep those dark circles and undereye bags at bay. So, make sure that you get enough sleep every night and if possible take a quick nap during the day too. It'll help boost your energy levels.

So, all you need to do is follow these few skincare tips and your skin will be healthy long after the quarantine is over. Stay tuned for more updates.
