When we think winter, curling up with a good book in hand and sipping on cocoa come to mind. Winter months hence, happen to be when most of us ditch our fitness routines and take to a lazier life. Well, that shouldn't be the case. A health expert has shared a few tips on how you can stick to your fitness routines despite the lazy environment all around you.

1. Walking: One of the easiest ways to digest that calorie-pumped meal would be walking for at least 15-20 minutes after eating. You can walk outside your house for a while or stroll inside your house. If you do not want to go for that brisk walk, take a moderately fast one anyway!

2. Indoor exercise: Fixing a quick 15-minute exercise in between your busy schedule will help in diluting those extra carbs. Schedule the exercise time to suit you and your schedule. The expert suggests that in the 15 minutes of exercise, you should do three sets of - 15 jumping jacks, six push-ups, 30 seconds plank, five sit-ups and five squats.

3. Water: The most common practice is gulping a glass of water just after eating a heavy meal, which causes indigestion. One should either drink water 30 minutes before a meal or 30-45 minutes post eating. It’s also important to sip water before, during and after exercise to keep the body hydrated at all times.

4. Fitness app: There are several fitness apps that can help you track your exercise routine.
We hope these tips help you in keeping up with your fitness routines this winter.
