Thin hair is quite a problem whether it's your natural hair texture or you have suffered from hairfall issues. While we can't promise results from existing hair-thickening products in the market, we can give you some simple tips and tricks to try at home to naturally give your hair the volume and thickness you would like.

Switch up your hair parting
Usually, most of us tend to get comfortable with parting our hair on one side and aren't often open to changing it. But, with thin hair, one of the easiest ways to fake volume is to switch up the side you part your hair on. It automatically adds volume around the roots.

Embrace the hair flip
Apparently, messy hair is your thing, but your hair volume is just not cutting it, the hair flip could help. The first thing you can do is when you're blow drying your hair, do it while your hair is flipped over and facing downwards for a big volume boost. You'll be surprised at your new do when you flip it back into place. The same technique even works midday to add some volume, sans the hair dryer - just flip your hair over, tease it a bit and flip it back.

Stick to this shampoo-conditioning technique
While this is a good technique to apply to all hair types, shampooing hair only close to the roots and conditioning towards the ends is a foolproof hair care method for thinning hair. It prevents your hair from looking greasy and weighed down, thus giving you a more bouncy, fuller mop. Also, you should switch to conditioning before you shampoo so that your hair texture isn't too smooth and silky and won't fall flat in whatever hairstyle you do.

Twist and set your hair while you sleep
Take sections of your hair and tightly twist them around and secure them into tiny buns. Sleep with this hairstyle in place and open these twists up in the morning for wavy, volumized hair you can tousle into your desired hairstyle for the day.

Tie a double ponytail
A simple way to fake fuller hair is to tie a double ponytail. Divide your hair into two sections, one where you would normally tie your ponytail and one a bit higher. Secure the lower ponytail as you regularly would, and then tie the higher ponytail just above it so it looks like one mega-bouncy ponytail.
