World Environment Day 2020: Here's how you can lose weight in an eco-friendly way

We're already aware of how difficult it is to lose weight. In fact, it can be quite a tedious task even when it's done properly. But while you might only be worried about shedding excess kilos, you should also be worried about how your weight loss journey can affect the environment. That's right, certain things you opt for could harm then environment which is why it's essential that you note down what you can change to make things better. This World Environment Day 2020, make sure you start to lose weight in a more sustainable and eco-friendly manner.

Try to run and walk as much as possible: We tend to use our bikes and cars for even the littlest of chores because we have the luxury of using them. But if you want to lose weight, it would be best to walk or run to your nearest stores since this will help burn so many calories. Plus, it'll also be good for the environment as it'll reduce pollution from your vehicles.

Eat at home: It's a given that the food you get outside has some or the other additives and preservatives in it that are bad for your health. Plus, they often come in plastic packages and boxes which are bad for the environment. And so, eating at home isn't just good for your health but is also great for the environment because it means there'll be less use of plastic.

Try to recycle and reuse waste: Waste from vegetables could be recycled as compost for your plants. So, the next time you cook some vegetables, make sure to not just throw away the peel but try to incorporate it into some form of gardening or recycling.

Don't opt for bottled water: We're so used to buying water from outside that we never think about the fact that we can always just carry a bottle of water with ourselves when we step out. When you stop buying bottled water, it can make a difference to the environment by reducing plastic usage.
