To grow basil indoors, you need to gather a few stalks of the herb and cut them into 10-15 cm pieces. Then, remove the lower leaves and leave a few of the upper leaves. Now, put the upper leaves in a glass that is half full of water under the sun and change the water every two days. When the roots are about 2 cm long, you need to move the plant to a larger pot as it will need lots of space to grow and also sunlight.
