Losing weight is once again going to be on many people's New Year resolution list and thankfully there are many little and easy changes that you can make in order to achieve your goal. One major way to do so is by using some healthy food swaps with your daily food items which can make a big change to your calorie intake. Here are a few basic food swaps that you can make on a daily basis:

Swap sour cream for Greek yogurt: Plain Greek yogurt is very capable of having the kind of tag that a full-fat sour cream has yet it's less than half the calroies and is also packed with extra protein which is perfect as it leaves you feeling full between meals. You can swap this food while making topping bowls of chili, dips, or for that matter any other recipes that calls for sour cream.

Swap mayonnaise for mustard: Sandwiches can really add calories to you as you can use all kinds of cheeses, spreads and other fillings. But in order to follow a healthy food swap, you can ditch the fatty mayo for mustard. Just one tablespoon of the store-bought mayonnaise contains about 90 calories, while mustard is a calorie-free swap.

Swap raisins for grapes: It's always easy to overeat when you're snacking on dried fruit. This is because it can take up less space than the usual amount of fresh fruits. Just half a cup of raisins contain about 250 calories and the same amount of fresh grapes contains just 31 calories. You can very much opt for grapes as it will also help you reach your daily hydration goal.
