Your clothes can very much affect work output and productivity

All of us are now home and a lot of us are also working from home. This means everyone is still doing the same work expect for a location change and outfit change. Now that people are home, most of you might be working the whole day sitting in your pajamas or any kind of comfy clothing that you usually wear at work. But after a few days pass by, you must have noticed that your productivity goes for a toss. While comfort is key, you need to understand that your work output is important too.

So if you're wondering what could be a solution to this, we're here to tell you something that's super easy to follow.

Now, working from home in itself is a challenge because no matter how many days you went by without stepping out of the house, the brain will always find it difficult to concentrate when you're in the comfort of your home. There can be many distractions and house chores could be the major ones. You can't entirely ignore these distractions too, but somehow they end up affecting your daily work output.

This is why, when you dress up in a certain way, you signal the brain to get more professional. You are then aware of your work being more important and that you need to finish it during particular hours. Think of it as little solutions that can give your brain a start to get more productive.

When you're at home, you are disconnected from the rest of the work team. You might use your phone and computers to stay connected, but you cal trick your brain into believing that you're at an actual work place by dressing up a little.

Here's what you can wear every day;

- A pair of pants and not pajamas that can give you an illusion of getting ready to commute to work.
- Different footwear if at all and not your home slippers.
- A crips shirt or a well ironed kurta if you have to be on a video call meeting.
- Some kind of accessories like bracelets or earrings that can amp up your work mood.
- A t-shirt that isn't too formal but not too casual too. Basically something that you'd wear on a casual office day.
- If at all you're a fan of makeup or wear makeup to work each day, you can do a little bit of that to brighten up your face and mood and feel a positive vibe to begin with work day from home.
