You feel like taking a shower or two everyday is enough to keep yourself free from germs and also to make yourself feel fresh. While it might be so, it isn't all that great if you're doing it wrong. Yes, there's a way to take a shower too. You can just pop into a shower, clean yourself in whatever temperature water and come out of it. You tend to make a lot of silly mistakes while you're in there that can damage your skin. You read that right. Taking wrong showers can ruin your skin and so, you might want to correct yourself by reading this before the next time you decide to take one.

Did you know, there's a right order to wash yourself? A lot of us tend to leave the conditioner in the hair for it to do its job while we multitask with washing other parts of the body. Well, it doesn't really work in your favour. The conditioner which isn't washed off properly actually brings pimples on your chest and back as it leaves a layer on your skin that blocks your pores. Also, shower gels are only meant to be used in areas which are oily. The skin on your arms and legs don't have that much of oil content in it and so, using soap regularly can dry your skin on them.

While shaving in the shower is completely normal and needed, it isn't safe if you shave before the shower. If you want a smooth and soft skin after shaving, you have to wet your skin and let it soak in water for about ten minutes. This will open the pores and soften your hair for it to become less painful during shaving.

Not a lot of us knew that it's best to use face masks during showers, right? Since your pores open up while you're taking a shower, it becomes easier for your skin to take in all the hydration and nourishment that the masks give. In order to nourish and moisturize your skin, apply a thin sticky layer of organic honey on your skin for 5 minutes while you shower. It works wonders.

Many of us love hot water showers, so much that we tend to let boiling hot water pour on our skin. Now, this is a big no! Hot water eventually dries your skin out since it dehydrates it and also takes away the natural oils which ultimately leaves your skin feeling dry and itchy. And once your skin is dry, you tend to get rashes even quicker. Also, you should only be under a shower for about 10 to 15 minutes.

Rubbing a towel aggressively is not the ideal way. Gentle patting works better after which you're supposed to moisturize your skin. Just after 3-5 minutes of shower, it is recommended to moisturize your skin as it re-hydrates it.
