Amruta Fadnavis on hitting back at trollers: Love, sharing and empathy have no religion

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' wife Amruta was trolled on Tuesday for promoting a Christmas charity event that she attended. The banker and social worker hit back at those who trolled her by saying, "love, sharing and empathy have no religion". People started to criticise her after she tweeted photos from the same event held in Mumbai.

She was accused by a section of social media for "promoting evangelism", "luring Hindus into the fold of Christianity" and "encouraging Christian missionaries" by "promoting their agenda". Some even said that she was promoting "cultural subversion". Trollers even went to the extent questioning why she didn't "oppose crackerless Diwali" and do something for the poor people during Hindu festivals.
