Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Jagga Jasoos’ delayed over a course of three years is finally all set to release on July 14. The makers have promoted the ‘Jagga Jasoos’ as a musical, a film that is meant to be watched by children.

However, the film was sent to the CBFC for certification and while the makers expected a ‘U’ certificate, the censor board certified the the ‘U/A’ with no cuts. A source close to a leading daily revealed, “The film was submitted for certification on Thursday, and was cleared on Friday afternoon.”

The makers are unhappy with the certification as they have time and again stated that the film is meant for children. Another source close to director Anurag Basu revealed to the daily, “We wonder what the censor board saw in ‘Jagga Jasoos’ that made it suitable for children only accompanied by an adult.”

CBFC Chief Pahlaj Nihalani, however, defended the move and concluded, “Let the film release. The world will see why we think it is necessary for children to be accompanied by an adult.”
