Even after creating much hype, Imtiaz Ali's 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma failed to live up to the expectations of the audience. While it was anticipated that the film will mint monies at the Box Office, 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' couldn't survive more than a week's run at the theatres. 2017 has not been a very good year for films - first, Salman Khan starrer 'Tubelight' turned out to be a dud, followed by 'Jab Harry Met Sejal's' Box Office failure.

And now, an online portal informs that just like Salman, distributors and exhibitors want Shah Rukh too to pay them for the losses incurred. As a matter of fact, Shah Rukh has even paid distributors in the past when films like 'Asoka', 'Paheli', 'Dilwale', et al. underperformed at the Box Office. The report in the portal further states that the biggest loss has been incurred by NH Studioz, who had acquired the all India rights of 'Tubelight' for Rs. 132 crores and 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' for Rs. 80 crores.

While Shah Rukh is not any contract bound to pay for the losses of the distributors and exhibitors, they are praying that the actor will follow the steps of Salman and pay them for the loss incurred. Apparently, they have sent Shah Rukh a message and have requested him to refund the money. The distributors note that the actor made a rather good profit from the pre-sale of All India Rights to NH Studioz, the satellite rights, music rights, and digital rights. And hence, they want to be compensated.
