After the slight calm amidst 'Padmavati’ controversy, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh step out together

Ever since filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali deposed before the parliamentary committee which is probing into the 'Padmavati' controversy, there has been a sort of calm about the matter. And recently, we caught 'Padmavati' stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh taking the time to meet up finally at Ranveer’s 'Gully Boy' director Zoya Akhtar’s house.
The promotions of the upcoming historical drama demanded that there be no promotions done by Ranveer and Deepika together since there is no scene of the pair together in the film and so amidst the entire 'Padmavati' controversy we hadn't spotted the duo making an appearance together. A trade source said, “But then they made a combined entry and exit this time. Ranveer was very upset and angry at the threats made not just to Deepika, but also to Bhansali. He even had a restraining order on meeting Deepika. But how can you keep them away for long?”
The focus is now on the release date of the film. And with the probability of Bhansali being called again within a fortnight to meet the parliamentary committee, it seems, for now, that the release date of the film will only be announced after Gujarat elections.
