Trade pundits have often been given as much importance as the critics by the people related to show business. However, it seems like ‘Baadshaho’ star Ajay Devgn feels otherwise. He recently revealed that he doesn’t take them seriously and even feels that most of them are ‘idiots’.

“Earlier, nobody was printing it and hence, it was not there, today you guys are printing and hence, people have started taking numbers seriously. To me, box office numbers matter because if you invest a certain amount, you need to recover. But that’s not the only concern for me as even appreciation matters a lot,” said the actor. In fact, back in the 90s, the critics had predicted that Ajay would never go on to become a huge star, owing to his unconventional looks. When asked to reflect upon that, Devgn added, “I didn’t care about them. I thought, and I still think most of the trade pundits are idiots. You can’t take them seriously.”

‘Baadshaho’, also starring Ileana D’Cruz, Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta, hit the theatres on 1st September.
