Makers of Arjun Rampal’s ‘Daddy’ have finally announced the movie’s release date. The movie will hit the theatres on 21st July, clashing with Tiger Shroff’s ‘Munna Michael’. While ‘Daddy’ is a political crime drama film based on gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli’s life, ‘Munna Michael’s’ genre is much lighter as it is a dance-drama-comedy film.

“The release date of ‘Munna Michael’ was originally July 7. Then it was moved ahead by a couple of weeks. Meanwhile, the makers of ‘Daddy’ were contemplating a right release timeline as well. They found July 21 as the most appropriate one and fixed it,” said a source. He further said, “Though ‘Daddy’ and ‘Munna…’ arriving together could give the vibes of a family affair in the offering, the situation is altogether different. ‘Daddy’ is an underworld-meets-politics drama, which is as gritty as it gets.”

Since the two films are completely different genres and are equally promising, it would be interesting to see how this one turns out, don’t you think?
