Deepika Padukone opens up about her Hollywood journey, and how 'xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage' came to her at the right time!
The beginning of this year saw the release of Deepika Padukone's Hollywood debut 'xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage'. The actress along with Vin Diesel and director D.J Caruso promoted the film in India amidst much fanfare and celebration. 'xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage' first released in India, and then Deepika left the country to promote the film worldwide. Still basking in the glory of the film, Deepika is back home and is busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Padmavati'.

Talking about her role in 'xXx', Deepika opened up to a magazine and told that the film came to her when she was looking out for a solid change. She said, "Everyone’s career is this one long and amazing journey. It’s full of these exciting moments and what you make of these situations in life is what matters the most. As far as ‘xXx’ is concerned it came to me at a phase when I was looking for a solid challenge. The biggest challenge for me was moving out of my comfort zone."

The leggy lass further added, "I guess, as actors over a period of time we tend to get used to our environment. I thrive on challenges. I love being thrown into new situations and finding myself in an unfamiliar territory was exciting. I had to work with a director who I’d never even met before. I had to perform in an entirely alien setup with new actors and a new kind of energy. Even their style of acting is so different from ours. The way they approach every scene is so distinct from the way we do."
