Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif to team up for Shah Rukh Khan’s next?

After much planning and prepping, filmmaker Aanand L Rai’s next starring Shah Rukh Khan is all set to go on floors next month. The story of the film demanded two strong female leads and the director indeed had a tough time finalising the cast. However, according to DNA, Rai has finally locked the two lead actresses for the film and surprisingly, they are none other than once arch rivals, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif.

“Aanand has been in talks with a few actresses and has finally sealed the deal with DP and Kat. While there were reports about Deepika replacing Katrina and vice-versa, the film will have both the heroines working together for the first time,” revealed a source close to the project. Apparently, the two actresses, who refused to even acknowledge each other in public, have only agreed to the film as they both want to work with Shah Rukh Khan.

Elaborating upon Dippy and Kat’s roles, the source further added, “Both the roles in Aanand’s film are extremely strong and totally different from the other. The team is planning a big announcement soon. The modalities are being worked out currently.”

Both, Deepika and Katrina have shared the screen with their contemporaries before, Deepika with Priyanka Chopra in ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and Katrina with Anushka Sharma in ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’. Aren't you excited to watch Deepika and Katrina sizzle on the silver screen together?
