Deepika rubbishes the rumours of her Oscar 2017 debut, says she is busy shooting for latest film, 'Padmavati'
Deepika Padukone is back in the bay after the whirlwind promotions of her international debut, 'xXx:Return of Xander Cage'. While Deepika's 'xXx: Return of Xander Cage', has gone on to become the biggest hit of the year 2017, the rumours were rife that the actress would make her Oscars debut this year. The rumours that Deepika is all set to make her Oscars debut began when her Hollywood stylist, Elizabeth Saltzman posted on her Instagram picture saying, 'Oscars here we come!'

When quizzed if this Instagram update was a hint towards her Oscar debut, the actress laughed it off saying, "That’s an interesting question, but no, no…” Talking about the success of her Hollywood debut, the actress said, "Anything that you put your heart and soul into, you’re sure to see the results. I was emotional with the way India embraced the film. The way I spoke in the film and was very well received. I think it is worth it stepping out of your comfort zone and doing something.

When prodded about the reports of her signing the Hindi remake of 'Mr and Mrs Smith', though she did not deny the reports, she said, "If I would be doing a film, I would talk about it. Right now the only movie I am working on is Padmavati. Padmavati is consuming all my life. So if I am doing a film, I will talk about it, but nothing for now."
