Kate Middleton has been seen stepping out in public donning some gorgeous royal jewels many times now. Yes, this includes the magical time when she stepped out in Princess Diana's favourite tiara as a touching tribute to her late mother-in-law. However, we've not got great news for all you Meghan Markle fans who are hoping to see Meghan in one of those gorgeous tiaras too!

Royal protocol dictates that only married women can wear tiaras and hence, Meghan will be allowed to wear one, only after her marriage to Prince Harry. She will not be allowed to model any royal hand-pieces for that matter until she ties the knot with probably the most eligible bachelor (bachelor no more though). And this is just one of many strict rules that Meghan will have to follow now on. "Flashy diamonds and tiaras are not worn during the day, and only married ladies wear tiaras," etiquette expert Grant Harold told a leading news portal. "For married ladies, it was a sign of status and would show you were taken and not looking for a husband. For the gentleman it was a clear sign not to make advances toward the lady in question," he added.

However, here's some good news. On her wedding day, she will have a host of tiaras to choose from! "She can choose something suitable, but she might also have the Spencer tiara, which is also Harry's heritage and is the one Diana wore on her wedding day," royal expert Ingrid Seward told a leading daily. If she chooses to buck that tradition, Markle can be loaned a different tiara for her special day.

Even though she will have to wait for this particular aspect of the royal lifestyle, it won't be the first time Markle has worn a tiara. Recently, photos have surfaced of a teenage Markle wearing a crown as homecoming queen. Check it out here...

Can't wait to spot her in one of those gorgeous royal jewels, right?
