Jassie Gill on favourite actress: It was always Sonakshi and Parineeti

Singer Jassie Gill will soon be seen opposite Sonakshi Sinha in the upcoming film 'Happy Bhag Jayegi Returns'.
Jassie Gill Punjabi actor-singer is all set to make his Bollywood debut in Aanand L Rai’s ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi Returns’. The film is the second installment of hit flick ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’. The Mudassar Aziz directorial, which featured Diana Penty, Abhay Deol, Jimmy Shergill and Ali Fazal and in prominent roles.


Apparently, the shooting of the movie has already begun. And, the 28-year-old hunk is overwhelmed on bagging this opportunity. "It’s such a wonderful experience working wd u @sonakshisinha Feeling on cloud 9 Excited for the 2nd schedule .. c u soon #FanMoment," he posted on Twitter.



Jassie Gill talks about the film and, he says they have wrapped 40 percent of the film and not the next schedule the team will be heading to China on January 1st, “Mudassar Sir had seen a few of my songs like “Lancer” and “Nakhre” and wanted a character like that for this film in which I play a Punjabi boy working in China.”


The actor recalls the first day of his shoot, he said, “In college when anyone asked me to name my favourite heroines, it was always Sonakshi and Parineeti (Chopra). I’m delighted I got an opportunity to not just work with Sonakshi but also romance the one I’ve long admired. When we met during the script reading and she called me by my name, main toh bas vahin lattoo ho gaya tha.”


Jassie also wants to collaborate with Sonakshi for a song, “I haven’t spoken to her about it as yet but she has heard my latest song, “Guitar Sikhda”, and I got to listen to a song that she is working on. I’ll speak to her about the album when I meet her next on the set.”


The actor signed off by saying, “I liked the simple lyrics and the soothing tune of this song about a guy learning the guitar for his girl. We shot for it in Mussoorie.”
