Kajol: I would love to do a mad comedy like ‘Ishq’

While senior actresses like Raveena Tandon Thadani and Sridevi are venturing into the dark genre with emotionally draining movies like ‘Maatr’ and ‘MOM’, ‘VIP 2’ actress Kajol has different interests. She says Indian cinema back in the 90s was highly entertaining and she would love to do a mad comedy like her 1997 blockbuster ‘Ishq’.

“I would love to do something like ‘Ishq’ again. It was mad, funny and extremely entertaining. I’m hoping someone approaches me for a film like that.” She added, “I think in the ’90s, we really made some great entertaining films. Although nobody has offered me a comedy like that now, I would not wait to say yes if something comes my way.”
