Katrina wanted to turn filmmaker with ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ remake?

Katrina Kaif is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming movie ‘Jagga Jasoos’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor and is busy these days with its promotions. At one such promotional event, Ranbir made a rather surprising revelation that the porcelain beauty was keen on directing the Hindi remake of ‘The Fault In Our Stars’.
“At one point, she felt strongly about adapting the novel into a film as a director. She had also written 10 scenes that were really brilliant,” revealed Ranbir. Katrina immediately interrupted him and rectified that she had written just one scene. However, Ranbir stuck to his stance and said to her, “You had written one, but later you had 10 scenes.” However, Katrina’s plan did not materialise and now the remake is being helmed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar.
Katrina plays a journalist in ‘Jagga Jasoos’ and Ranbir a detective who embarks upon a journey to find his missing father. The movie is helmed by Anurag Basu and will hit the theatres on 14th July.
