Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Padmaavat', earlier titled 'Padmavati' has been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. The film has been constantly criticized ever since its inception and has been facing hurdles ever since then. Things were finally looking good for the film after the CBFC approved its release. After 5 modifications and the title changed to 'Padmaavat', the film is now slated to release on January 25. But now, it looks like the troubles are not over for the film yet.

Now, women belonging to the Kshatriya community in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, have allegedly threatened self-immolation if the screening of the Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor starrer is not stopped by the government. The members reportedly held a meeting over the weekend, where it was decided that they would stage a protest against the film's release. Well, we wonder when this drama will come to an end. Stay tuned for more updates.
