Makers to omit THESE crucial parts of Sanjay Dutt’s life from his biopic

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently said that biopics in Bollywood are corrupted by commercial elements and that a person's story should instead be shown as it is. Indian skipper M.S. Dhoni's biopic was also termed as a 'hagiography' which intensified the debate that only the good and positive parts of a person's character are depicted in movies based on their journey.

Now, with the much-awaited Sanjay Dutt biopic coming up, people started speculating that negative aspects like his drug addiction might not just be tweaked but might be completely omitted in the movie. This is possible because a source close to the project revealed that Sanjay Dutt and his marketing experts need to work on cleaning out his image after being the eye of so many major controversies. He said, “Since he came out of jail, he has been cultivating the family man image with vacations with his wife and twins and no late-night parties. Though he still enjoys his evening drinks, he has them at home. He hardly attends parties and seldom entertains too many guests at home for a sit-down dinner.”

He added, “There will be duplicitous periods from Sanju’s life defining the biopic. But now the sordidness would be sublimated. The trauma would be toned down. The biopic will be made accessible to Dutt’s young viewers. With drug dealers in Mumbai and Punjab catching them young, it is time for Dutt to tell the youth that it is not cool to dabble in drugs and play with guns.”

Dutt’s drug addiction won’t be shown in detail and his arrest and conviction for possession of arms during Mumbai’s 1993 blasts would focus on his ingenuity and innocence and not show him in bad light. His alleged affair with Madhuri Dixit will be completely omitted from the biopic and his ex-girlfriend Tina Munim’s character’s name would be changed.
