Mukesh Ambani's son Akash Ambani gets engaged to Shloka Mehta

After much speculation about their wedding, Mukesh Ambani's son Akash Ambani and billionaire Russell Mehta's daughter Shloka Mehta got engaged to each other on Saturday. Rumours about their engagement were rife for quite some time but nobody had confirmed anything. Their engagement took place in a small ceremony in Goa in the presence of Mukesh Ambani, Neeta Ambani, his mother Kokilaben and other close family members. As per reports, the Ambanis and the Mehtas have been close family friends for years now. Akash and Shloka had reportedly also studied together at the same school.
Akash's mother, Nita Ambani took to her Instagram account to share photos of the ceremony. Speaking about the ceremony to Bombay Times, Nita said, "Mukesh and I have given very strong foundation to our kids and even larger wings to fly - they have the freedom to take decisions for themselves and of course, choose whom they would want to spend the rest of their lives with. Marrying the one you love is gratifying and heart-warming. I have known Shloka since she was four and we are all delighted to welcome her to our home and our hearts."
