Earlier this week, Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui posted a cryptic tweet, which suggested that he has faced racism in the industry. Check it out below:

Apparently, this tweet was the reaction to a statement was recently made by the casting director of Nawazuddin’s upcoming movie ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’, which said that one can’t cast a fair and handsome person alongside the actor. Adding to the debate that followed, Nawazuddin further said, “Racism exists everywhere, why just the film industry? In our country even a mother, who goes bride-hunting for her son, looks for a fair girl.” However, the actor later clarified that the tweet wasn’t targeting anyone in particular and was a general statement. Later, during the promotions of his upcoming movie ‘Munna Michael’, he said, “If my average look is my USP today, it is because I have linked it to my work. But we waste too much time over these things. Who is anyone to decide if I am ugly or handsome? Everyone is good looking in their own way.”

‘Munna Michael’ also stars Tiger Shroff and debutante Nidhhi Agerwal alongside Nawazuddin and will hit the theatres on 21st July.
