Priyanka opts out of ‘Gustakhiyan’, leaves Bhansali in a lurch

Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Priyanka Chopra were all set to co-produce their upcoming venture, ‘Gustakhiyan’, the story of which revolves around the real life romance between poets Sahir Ludhianvi and Amrita Pritam. While PeeCee was to play Amrita, reports said the makers had finalised Abhishek Bachchan to play Ludhianvi in the movie.
However, due to reasons unknown, PeeCee decided to opt out of the movie, which then resulted in even Abhishek calling it quits on the project. Now, Bhansali has been left with no co-producer and lead pair for the movie. “With Priyanka stepping down, Sanjay is now scouting for other options. They have decided to approach two other big A-listers but this time, Sanjay doesn’t want any news to be out till he confirms his leading lady,” said a source close to the development.
We wonder who Bhansali would pick to bring the beautiful love story to life on the silver screen.
