Ranbir Kapoor starring Sanjay Dutt biopic, to release on June 29

Ranbir Kapoor starring Sanjay Dutt biopic has finally got a release date. Director Rajkumar Hirani has announced 29th June as the release date for the film. The biopic will star Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role and is one of the most awaited releases of 2018. The biopic will be produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The filmmaker has done some wonderful films with Sanjay Dutt before, ‘Munnabhai M.B.B.S’ and ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’. The announcement has been made by the director on Twitter.
Dia Mirza, who is playing Maanayata, said, “I’m very very excited about the Dutt biopic and my work in it. I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself by thinking about the fact that it might take my career as an actor in a new direction”.
Sanjay Dutt had earlier said, “I was not skeptical at all. Raju, Abhijat and I sat for many, many hours and I laid the cards right out in front of them. I have nothing to hide. I’ve never had nothing to hide either.”
When asked filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, he said, “Biopics can be very one-sided. But this is a biopic with all perspectives and is a very open biopic.”
The film also stars Dia Mirza as Sanjay Dutt’s wife Maanayata, and Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal and Sonam Kapoor playing Tina Munim.
