Salman Khan's character in 'Tubelight' is similar to 'Forrest Gump' not just in terms of mannerism and appearance but even philosophies
Salman Khan, who is currently busy with the shooting of 'Tiger Zinda Hai' is soon set to begin the promotions of 'Tubelight'. Set against the background of 1962 Indo-Sino war, Salman will be seen playing the role of a simpleton in the film.

If the posters of the film are anything to go by, Salman's character in the film bears a striking resemblance to that of Tom Hanks from the 1994-hit 'Forrest Gump'

Talking about the resemblance, a source revealed, “Not just the mannerism and appearance but even the philosophies of Salman’s character are similar to that of Forrest Gump. The famous line, “Life is a box of chocolates,” that Forrest’s mother often said and was Forrest’s motto in life, is similar to what Salman’s character follows in Tubelight."

Scheduled for an Eid release, 'Tubelight' marks the third collaboration of the hit actor-director pair, Salman Khan and Kabir Khan. Starring Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and late actor Om Puri in pivotal roles, 'Tubelight' is slated to release on June 23.
