A lot had been said about the alleged tension between Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir Kapoor. The noise around these reports increased when Sanjay Dutt made a statement saying that Ranbir should be more macho and do more macho films. He even said that he fails to understand how Ranbir managed to bag the Best Actor award for ‘Barfi’.

Ranbir, who will be seen portraying Sanjay in his upcoming biopic, apparently faced a lot of difficulties to get into the skin of the character. Reason being Sanjay’s refusal to give Ranbir proper guidance and tips to help him understand the essence of the character.

However, it seems things have now taken a turn for better. Sanjay recently paid a surprise visit on the sets of his biopic where Ranbir shot a few scenes in his presence and spent some quality time with the actor. Talking about it a source said, “No one knew that Dutt would come to the sets. It was a surprise for all. He saw the rushes of the film and really liked the way it’s shaping up. Ranbir shot a few scenes in his presence, and was constantly seeking the senior actor’s approval.”

Apparently, the scene being shot that day was a tricky one and Ranbir had to project many layers of emotions in it. Talking about how Ranbir made the best out of Sanjay’s presence. The source elaborated, “Ranbir didn’t leave Dutt’s side even for a minute. Since Hirani was busy giving takes, he wasn’t able to spend much time with Dutt, but he made up for it by sitting down for a leisurely lunch with him, Ranbir and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra.”

The film, which also stars Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in pivotal roles, and is scheduled to release later in December this year.
