Sanjay Dutt and Sridevi in Varun Dhawan-Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Shiddat’?

Abhishek Verma, who rose to fame with Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer '2 States', has managed to make headlines with his next titled 'Shiddat'. The filmmaker recently confirmed that Alia and Varun Dhawan have green lit the project, however, the rest of the rest cast is yet in contemplation.

Rumour mills are abuzz with reports that suggest the makers have approached Sridevi and Sanjay Dutt for pivotal roles in the film. Reports in a leading portal further inform that Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur too have been approached to be a part of the film.

While there has been no official confirmation on the same, a source close to the portal revealed, "Sridevi and Sanjay Dutt have been approached for the movie. But they both are yet to give a nod." If the two agree to do the film then it will be their second film together post 'Gumrah' that dates back to 25 years.

Talking about Aditya and Sonakshi, the source further added, "Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha too are being considered for the movie. Aditya agreed to do the movie a while back but the formalities are left. Sonakshi was recently offered the movie and she is contemplating on signing it."

When the portal tried to get in touch with Abhishek to confirm the same, the filmmaker remained unavailable. Looks like we will have to wait for an official confirmation to know the final cast of the film.
