Sanjay Dutt, who is currently busy shooting for his next 'Bhoomi', recently met with an accident on the sets of the film. According to a leading tabloid, while shooting an action sequence, Sanjay sustained a rib injury. He was then taken to the hospital and after an X-ray was done, the doctor concluded that Sanjay had a hairline fracture.

A source close to the tabloid revealed, "The action sequence, which was being filmed in Chambal, had him being attacked by a group of goons. In the midst of that scene, he felt a stabbing pain in his ribs and popped a painkiller for relief. He continued the shoot, but the pain only grew worse."

The source further added, "The doctor confirmed a hairline fracture. He is on medication and has been advised complete rest. However, he is eager to wrap up the shoot by the month-end."

Directed by Omung Kumar, 'Bhoomi' is Dutt's first film post the completion of his jail term. Apart from Sanjay, 'Bhoomi' also stars Aditi Rao Hydari who will be seen playing his daughter in the film.
