Sonam takes a nasty dig at Deepika for her Hollywood film!

Sonam Kapoor is known to make statements that raise not only eyebrows but can also set your ears ringing. Like the ones she made on Ranbir Kapoor when she sat on the Koffee With Karan’s couch along with Deepika Padukone. And here she is again, making yet another statement that proves nothing can let her down, not even the careers of other actresses.

Sonam, in an interview with a leading daily, was asked if she will soon be making her debut in a Hollywood film. The question was in light of the many Bollywood actresses who are dabbling between a career in the West as well as one back home. To this, the actress said, “If there is something that excites me, and if there is a good opportunity, then why not? I am in Los Angeles, to gauge at the possibilities. I am not going to hide it (trying to bag a film in the West) from anybody, and then suddenly announce that I have signed a (Hollywood) film. I am trying my best to sign good films. I am doing the same in Mumbai as well. But I have to see what I enjoy doing, and who I can work with or what I can work on.”

One can derive many meanings of the statement she made, but it clearly indicates that the actress is taking a dig at Deepika. One can easily guess that because Deepika had kept her Hollywood film, ‘xXx: Return Of Xander Cage’ under wraps till she finally went on to make an official announcement. In other news, one also hears that Sonam has hired an agency and is waiting for film offers from Hollywood. This is not the first time that the actress has taken a dig at her contemporary, she always has an opinion where necessary. And though her comment is a sly dig at Deepika, we await the news of Sonam signing a Hollywood film soon. And while a little dig is not bad, we wish the actress gets to taste the foreign waters too.
