Varun Dhawan: Because of Alia’s work, people are thinking 'Badri..' will have great content

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt are all geared up for the release of their much-awaited romantic drama, ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’. The film marks the second instalment of a franchise that began with ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ in 2014. The film was a surprise hit, but people do have a lot of expectations from its sequel. And thus it means the Alia and Varun are under the pressure to deliver another hit with ‘Badri'.

Talking about this in a recent interview with the DNA, Varun asserted, “I keep telling Alia that when we did 'Humpty..', people were entertained because they didn’t expect anything. Expectations are sky-high from this film.”

He continued, “People are expecting a lot, especially because of the work Alia has been doing. That’s a plus for us (smiles). Because of Alia’s work, people are thinking ‘Badri..’ too will have great content. I keep teasing Alia about that. As for me, the audiences are expecting entertainment. So I guess it’s a good mix of both now.”
