Varun Dhawan reveals that he has got nothing to hide and is cool with the idea of going public about his relationship
Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, who is currently on a whirlwind promotional tour for his next film 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' has always maintained that he does not enjoy discussing his personal life in public. While actor has graced many Bollywood events and parties with his rumoured girlfriend Natasha Dalal, the actor has always shied away from discussing his relationship in the media. But it seems like the actor confirmed his relationship status when he walked in hand-in-hand with Natasha at Shahid Kapoor's birthday bash.

When asked to comment to about the same, Varun in an interview with Mid-Day said, "The day I settle down, I will announce it to the world. I am proud of the special woman in my life and the world should know about her. It’s sad that for many actors, information around their personal life takes their career ahead. I don’t want to be in the news for dating someone. It isn’t motivating for me as an actor. I can understand if one reports a dramatic situation – like, Varun gets punched by his girlfriend. I will be amused too. But in this age, your work is all that makes or breaks him."

While the actor has always been vocal about the 'special woman' in his life, Varun has never really confirmed or denied his relationship status or given out specifics. So much so when asked about his reluctance to speak about his private life, the actor told a leading magazine, "Why am I not speaking out about my private life? Because there is too much to speak about. It will overtake my professional life. I am telling you, my private life is very exciting. I know if I reveal something about my private life, then people will not be interested in my work.”

However, when prodded further if the actor has contemplated about going public with his relationship, teh actor asserted that he has got nothing to hide. “I am cool about it. In fact, I’ve always been cool about it. There’s nothing to hide. I just don’t want the focus to shift from my career to the relationship. That’s why I don’t talk much about it. What can one say about spending time with loved ones? I’m not denying anything at all, just that I don’t like to discuss it. I see it reaching a good place. (Smiles) She’s quite a handful so full credit to her for sticking by me. She’s one of the best people I’ve come across in my life,” Varun concluded.
