Veena Malik granted divorce from husband Asad Bashir Khan

Pakistani actress and former Bigg Boss contestant, Veena Malik, has ended her three-year-old marriage with Asad Bashir Khan Khattak after a family court here granted them divorce. The couple had tied the knot back in 2013 and have two children.

According to reports, Malik filed for ‘khula’ (divorce procedure) on 6th January in Lahore family court. The court accepted Malik’s divorce application and issued a decree in her favour on 31st January after Asad failed to appear in the court to pursue the case.

Thus, the actress is now legally separated from her husband and will have to return 25 per cent of the 25 thousand dirham she had received as ‘mahr’ at the time of marriage to Asad.
