‘Welcome To New York’ to be Bollywood’s first 3D Comedy film

Producer Vashu Bhagnani is now setting a new benchmark as his next ‘Welcome To New York’ will be Bollywood’s first 3D-comedy film. The producer is popularly known for his hit comedy films like ‘Biwi No.1’ and ‘Coolie No.1’. The film has an ensemble cast; it features Sonakshi Sinha, Diljit Dosanjh, Karan Johar, Riteish Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Rana Daggubati and Boman Irani. There are many other stars as well who will be seen doing special appearances in the film.


Vashu Bhagnani said, “The production has always looked to be an innovator in the Hindi film industry which is why we decided to go with 3D. So far, the audiences have only seen action, thriller, and horror in 3D; for the first time they will be rolling in their seats laughing at the 3D antics on screen.”


Chakri Toleti the debutant director is equally confident of raising the bar with his huge ensemble cast, “The audience is going to love the experience of watching comedy in 3D. The film is a laugh riot and they will love it,” he said. The film is a heartfelt story of two unlikely youngsters from India who are in search of a better life. An unexpected trip to New York City sets them off on a comedic adventure that changes their lives forever.


The movie is set to hit the theatres on February 23.
