Lakme Fashion Week: Designers stun with their fantastic designs on day 2

After a stunning start to the fashion show, we were eagerly awaiting day 2 and boy what a phenomenal event it was. Here's all that went down on day 2 of the Lakme Fashion Week.



KVIC presents Lars Andersson. A contemporary knitwear collection, that exuded luxury both aesthetically and tactilely. KVIC presents Jewellyn Alvares. A line that had three directions rolled into cohesions with Tunics, pants, shirts, jackets and coats. All fashioned from khadi fabrics in different textures, count and weight. KVIC presents The Third Floor Clothing. Khadi silks dominated a collection that was big on layering and androgynous silhouettes.



RmKV Silks presents, evolution of Kanjeevaram, in collaboration with Sunita Shanker. The collection comprised of layered co-ordinates, evoking a sense of culture and origin.



Vriksh by Gunjan Jain, presented a collection of handwoven saris styled in experimental drapes and teamed with workwear blouses.



DEFindia presented #ArtisansOfDigitalAge – a digitally driven designer-artisan collaboration with Indigene x Barpali & Nuapatna's W/F'18 collection of silk & silk cotton Ikat textiles on Sustainable Fashion Day at Lakmé Fashion Week. They also collaborated with Naushad x Musiri's W/F'18 collection showcasing handwoven cotton/silk stripes, checks & Ikat textiles. Their third collaboration was with Three by Pallavi Dhyani x Barabanki's showcase of cotton gamcha textiles.



With a focus on raw beauty and natural fibers, EKA presented a collection in hand-spun & hand-woven cotton (khadi), in a collection of stripes, checks, hand block prints developed for the season.



Tencel™ & Rajesh Pratap Singh’s #PlanetPositive collection marries the strengths of one of the world’s most ecological fibres, Tencel™, along with Indian crafts like Chanderi, Banarasi, Jamdani & hand-block prints.
