5 herbs you can find in your kitchen to improve digestion

Dr Rajesh Kumawat, Head of Medical Services and Clinical Development at The Himalaya Drug Company, reveals natural ingredients that can help manage the problem, reports a news portal.

Here are the ingredients you should try if you’re having digestion issues:

1.Ginger: It helps to improve digestion by stimulating digestive acids and enzymes, as well as, helps expel gas from your system.

2. Black pepper: Contains Piperine, a compound that helps absorb nutrients. It also improves the secretion of bile acids which helps break down the food.

3. Triphala: It is a combination of amla (gooseberry), haritaki (chebulic myrobalan) and bibhitaki (Belleric myrobalan). It improves contractile movement of muscles in the digestive system.

4.Fennel Seeds: It helps to relax the contracted intestinal muscles and expel gas from the digestive system.

5. Shankha Bhasma: It is an Ayurvedic medicine made from conch shell which helps give relief from gastritis and duodenitis.

You can also combine these ingredients to better manage this health issue. However, you should consult with your doctor before doing so to determine the appropriate amount.
