Abusive tweets posted from Rahul Gandhi’s hacked Twitter account!

Congress vice-president, Rahul Gandhi’s official Twitter handle was hacked on Wednesday evening. According to one of the tweets, the official account of Rahul Gandhi was apparently hacked by a group called ‘Legion’. In a series of abusive tweets, the hackers tweeted about Prime Minister’s demonetisation policy and a few about the Gandhi family. The hackers also changed the bio of the account, which has about 1.2 million followers.

The Congress officials have announced that they will be filing a police complaint against the hackers. The party spokesperson RS Surjewala released a statement saying, “Will lodge a formal complaint with cyber police, hope govt will show the sincerity of purpose in investigating and punishing them.”

However, the situation was quickly brought under control, and the abusive tweets were deleted in a short while.
