While cutting down on carbs can prove to be beneficial when you're on a diet and want to lose weight, it can also do more harm than good when you go for your workout sessions. There are a number of problems people on a low-carb diet suffer from once they start working out. From low-energy to brain fog, it becomes quite evident that the right amounts of carbs are necessary for the body to function properly.

Your muscles start to get sore when you're on a low-carb diet. Carbs with moderate to high glycemic index promote muscle glycogen synthesis which helps you bounce back more quickly. Moreover, avoiding carbs may make your workout performance suffer. You might end up feeling more tired than usual after your workouts. You'll end up getting dehydrated a lot sooner and you may even have to reduce your workout intensity.

So, if you want to avoid feeling all of the above symptoms, it's time you start eating healthy even if it means eating carbs. After all, a well-balanced diet will do you a lot more good than harm. Stay tuned for more updates.
