Don't keep overeating nuts, it can have a negative impact on your body

Nut are very healthy for your body and that's no news. You can munch on them at any hour of the day and they will not only keep you feeling full for longer hours but also keep your heart healthy and even help with weight loss. As much as we've read and known about the health benefits of nuts time and again, not much has been spoken about the side effects of them. Yes, eating too many nuts can also harm your body.

Here's what you need to know:

- You can put on weight by overeating nuts: Nuts are very filling like you all know already. It can very much contribute to your weight loss diet. But it only applies if you consume them in moderate amounts. Just a handful of nuts are enough for the day and to keep your weight in check.

- Too many nuts can cause digestion issues: If you start feeling bloated and gassy, give a little break to the nuts that you've been eating. It's one of the common side effects of overeating nuts. The compounds that are found in nuts make it difficult for you to digest them. Eating too much fat will then lead to diarrhea.

- In some rare cases, Brazil nuts can cause selenium poisoning: These nuts are loaded with selenium. Just six to eight Brazil nuts contain nearly 10 times of the daily recommendation of selenium. This poison can start to make your nails brittle, trigger muscle and joint ache and even cause bad breath.
