Give yourself a much-needed pampering session with the use of body scrub

When it comes to skincare, one of the most essential things you need to opt for is exfoliation. It can help keep your skin in pristine condition by getting rid of dead skin cells, impurities, dirt, grime and whatnot. This way, your skin is cleaned and is rejuvenated in the best of ways. Now, that you're stuck in quarantine, why not make use of all the time you have on hand and opt for a body scrub session?

You can either use one that you purchased from the market or you can make your own body scrub. Our favourite DIY scrub is the brown sugar scrub. To make this, you'll need 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup oil of your choice, such as coconut, jojoba, olive, almond, or grapeseed and essential oils. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and voila! Your body scrub is ready to use.

Once you have your scrub in hand, step into the shower and when your skin is wet, scoop up some of the scrub and apply it to your body. Once you're done applying, take some time (5-10 mins) to massage your skin in soft circular motions. Remember not to overdo it or it might damage your skin. After you're done with scrubbing, rinse off the residue and pat your skin dry. Follow up with a moisturiser.
