On late Sunday night in Gurugram, a 22-year-old woman was dragged out of the car and she was raped in front of her family at gunpoint. This incident took place at Sector-56 in Gurugram. The police informed that the 4 people have been arrested for the crime.

The woman was accompanied by her husband and brother-in-law. They were returning home from a family function in her brother-in-law’s car. They had taken a break for a few minutes as her husband wanted to step out to relieve himself at Sector 56 near a business park. The victim and the brother-in-law waited inside the car. Two cars suddenly arrived at the spot, four men stepped out and started questioning why they had to take a halt, and later the men dragged the woman out of the car according to the police.

The first person sexually assaulted the woman while the other three held the husband and brother-in-law at gunpoint said the Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) and PRO of Gurugram police. The men later threatened the woman’s family with dire consequences if they try to approach the police, said Sehgal, also adding that the woman’s husband managed to note down the registration number of their one of the cars.

A police officer said, "The accused were arrested from their residences in Johalka village near Sohna in Gurugram and a case under relevant sections of the IPC have been registered against them.”
