Ever since childhood we've been told time and again that eggs are super healthy for us. They're packed with proteins and nutrients and by far make for the healthiest breakfast option (you could also include in other meals depending on your choice). While egg yolk is rich in zinc, iron, vitamins A, B and D, riboflavin, calcium, iron, phosphorous, lutein (a phytochemical that is good for the eyes), choline (needed for brain development) and cholesterol, egg whites also contain protein and are also said to lower blood pressure levels.

Here are some reasons why you should include eggs in your diet:

Rich source of almost every essential dietary nutrient: Eggs are rich in proteins and nutrients that contribute to the proper functioning of the immune system, help prevent macular degeneration and can even promote the feeling of fullness thus preventing you from overeating. These nutrients also work wonders in building up your immune system.

Improves brain health: Researchers have found that infants who started consuming eggs 6 months after birth had much healthier brain functions as compared to other infants. In fact, it was also found that if pregnant women consumed eggs regularly it could help in better developing the brain of their foetus.

Great for diabetics: While people with diabetics have a rather hard problem figuring out what to eat and what to avoid, eggs are one food they can consume without any worry. Diabetics who consume at least one egg per day are said to be able to keep their sugar levels under control while people who eat eggs at least 4 times a week are said to have a 37 percent lower risk of type 2 diabetes.

Eggs are a superfood: Unless you haven't already figured this out, let us tell you that eggs are pretty much a superfood. From being amazing for your eyes to improving bone health and even helping you lose weight, eggs can come to your rescue for just about any health issue.

So, what are you waiting for? Start incorporating eggs into your diet and you'll see the wonders it can do for you!
