A lot of you might have heard that exercising a little while before bedtime can affect your sleep cycle. But here's some news for you. Turns out, exercising four hours before you go to sleep does not have any sort of negative effects on your sleep schedule. Researchers from the Institute of Human Movement Sciences and Sport believe that exercising during the evening does not have any sort of negative effects on a person's sleep cycle.

The researchers said, "If doing sport in the evening has any effect on sleep quality at all, it's rather a positive effect, albeit only a mild one." The researchers combined data from different groups of people and found that the group who had done some sort of exercise in the evening spent 21.2% of their sleeping time in deep sleep. Whereas, people who didn't do any sort of exercise spent only about 19.9% of their sleeping time in deep sleep.

However, that doesn't mean that you should opt for vigorous exercise one hour before bedtime. This only goes to prove that doing healthy things work great only if you do them at the right time and in moderation. Well, what say you? Will you start a workout session during the evenings? Stay tuned for more health and exercise related updates.
