Unless you live under a rock we're sure you know all about the coronavirus outbreak being deemed as a pandemic. While people are trying their best to opt for social distancing, chances of getting the virus are still pretty high since it is airborne. And this is also a major cause of concern to pregnant women. There are already a plethora of things they need to keep in mind and the COVID-19 has only made things worse. Here are some things about the virus, pregnant women should know about.

- As per studies, there have been no major problems to pregnant women due to covid-19 and researchers are hoping that it won't have a massive effect on the unborn babies either.

- Other tests conducted also showed that the virus did not spread from the mother to the child while the child was in the womb. Three babies whose mothers had tested positive for the virus were tested and it was found that they did not have the infection.

- The most important thing for women who have just given birth to remember is to sanitise their hands regularly so that they don't pass the virus on to their babies.

- Experts are also claiming that the virus will have the same effects on pregnant women as it does on other healthy individual meaning that it won't be too dangerous for them. However, they must practise precaution anyway.

- As of now, it is not known whether the virus can transfer to the baby via breast milk. If you're pregnant and feel flu-like symptoms incoming, make sure to tell your doctor immediately.
